Longtime customers may still know our shop as Ski Tech, the name it carried for years before current ownership took over in February, 2018. We became Bluebird Mountain Sports to bring our New Mexico and Colorado shops under a single roof.
Your trip to Ski Santa Fe should be a great day, and not an ordeal. Many of the people at our counter are locals heading up for a weekday, or visitors who've driven an hour north from Albuquerque, and want to be on snow before the lot fills.
We're not a base-area counter working a first-chair rush. We're the shop that take care of your bootfitting before you start your day, and the shop you can come back to on a weekday afternoon when something needs tuning.
We're built for people who care how the gear fits.
We can help you with custom footbeds, liner molding, shell stretching and grinding, or cuff alignment. If you already own boots and they hurt, bring them in. We work on equipment you didn't buy from us, and a bad boot is nearly always fixable. Buy a new boot and custom footbed here, and we'll guarantee the fit for two years.
Skis and boards are expensive, and a spec sheet tells you very little. You can demo our retail hardgoods before you buy, so you can get a feel for how a piece of gear feels on the mountain.
Plenty of our customers are here in mid-February on a Tuesday morning. We’re a shop in town, rather than at a base area, so you can stop by for gear, rentals, or service even on a day you aren't skiing.
Adult and kids' ski, snowboard, and boot packages, with damage insurance included. Season packages are a great fit for local families or anyone driving up more than a handful of times a winter. Find out more about our seasonal rentals.
We offer full-service bench work, with most jobs ready by 5 PM the day after drop-off. Buy a new boot, binding, ski, or board from us, and we'll mount the bindings free of charge.
Our team provides full custom bootfitting, from footbeds through shell modification, on boots bought here or anywhere else.
Our Santa Fe shop serves local skiers and snowboarders, families getting ready for winter, visitors heading for the mountain, and customers who want help before buying, renting, or servicing gear.

We have a small parking lot, and street parking on Mercer Street.
The mountain runs from 10,350' at the base to 12,075' at the summit, one of the highest base elevations in the country, across 660 acres served by seven lifts. The terrain splits evenly between intermediate and expert, with a smaller share set aside for beginners.Ski Santa Fe is 16 miles from town at the end of NM 475, also called Hyde Park Road. The resort recommends four-wheel or all-wheel drive with winter tires, and chains can be required in heavy snow, so check NMRoads before you set out.Base parking is free, including ADA spaces, but it fills on weekends, holidays, and powder days, and the resort recommends arriving before 9 AM. It’s a good idea to pick your gear up from Bluebird Mountain Sports the evening before (we’re open til 6 PM).

Well that was fun! Came from a terrible experience at Alpine Sports to meet Jake and Charlie who were very helpful. My husband, who is an avid skier and has fit boots in the past felt the level of service and expertise was on par. Jake recommended boots that fit his needs and it required no reservation to try them on! They fit so well, we bought them. I also ended up buying a pair after trying some on and having lining heated to reduce some sore spots. We can always schedule a future custom fit if we need any adjustments, but we are both happy so far! I am so grateful for their kindness and knowledge. Well done! Made me a supporter for future needs. Thanks
