The right setup depends on the person wearing it. We match skis, boards, and boots to age, height, weight, ability, and the terrain you plan to ski. This matters most for children, whose sizing changes season to season.
Angel Fire, reserving online always saves you 10%.
Save 10% when you reserve. No reservation deposit. Damage insurance included.
Booking online saves 10% off the regular rate, and we don't take a deposit. During Christmas and spring break we run short on equipment, so a reservation guarantees yours.
Everyone renting comes into the shop so we can size boots properly and set up skis or boards to match. Bring each renter, including children, for accurate sizing.
Pickup for the next day generally starts at 2 PM, with no extra rental-day charge. Over holiday weeks we often start earlier, so call the shop to check.
Return equipment before we close, or before 10 AM the next morning, with no additional charge. Damage insurance is included in every Angel Fire daily package.
Kid and junior packages are the same ski and snowboard setups sized down. Anyone 13 and over books the adult package. We size in the shop rather than from a chart, because a child who fit a boot last February often doesn't now.
All ski rentals include skis, boots, and poles.
All rentals include a board, bindings, and boots.
In-store service only
Ski, snowboard, and boot sizes can be swapped any time through the season, which is what makes this work for a child who grows mid-winter.
Not included: helmets, jackets, or pants.

Longtime visitors know this shop as Ski Tech. The current owners came on board in October, 2019, and Bluebird continues to be independent and family operated. Check Angel Fire Resort for mountain information, and NMRoads for New Mexico road conditions.
The mountain runs from 8,600’ at the base to 10,677’ at the summit, with an intermediate-heavy trail spread that suits families and mixed-ability groups. Angel Fire is roughly two hours from Santa Fe, three from Albuquerque, and 23 miles from Taos. Nearly everyone drives in, so check road conditions before you set out, especially if snow is in the forecast. If you arrive the day before you ski, come by after you've checked in: evening pickup is the best thing you can do to save time on your first morning.
